The Descent

Just watched The Descent. First movie in years that has scared the shit out of me. Definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere alone (tight, pitch-black, cramped cave) is enough to send shivers down your spine, much less the horror six cave divers encounter after they get lost.

There was another movie about caves called The Cave, which looked absolutely horrible and was rightfully panned by critics and moviegoers alike. Think of The Descent as the "Good" cave movie and skip the other one.

Confirmation Dates and agent searches

After speaking with my publisher at Harbor House Books, a date for my first novel has finally been confirmed: Fall 2007. Not quite an exact date, but it's a good start.

While working on that, I'm still in the process of finding an agent for my next novel. Some agents who initially expressed interest have since declined after reading the full manuscript, citing a couple of different reasons that just so happen to contradict each other. The consensus so far seems to be "The writing is good, but the flashbacks are problematic." It makes sense.

Just added a few new short stories to Brew City Magazine, and one poem.
